Shane
O'Donoghue
BIO
Shane O’Donoghue is an Irish Olympian but more importantly, a highly passionate performance coach and psychologist. Upon graduation from University Limerick and Kingstown College with a master’s degree in Performance Psychology and Executive Coaching, Shane provides a professional yet practical coaching experience.
Since joining Mentally Fit in late 2018, he has found the optimal setting to combine his passion for sports, business and psychology to motivate people and teams to achieve their potential.
Shane is a highly ambitious international hockey player with 190 international matches for Ireland. His most notable achievement to date would have to be representing Ireland at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2018 World Cup as well as securing a European bronze medal in 2015 in London. Shane holds a prestigious record, in that he is Ireland’s all-time leading goal scorer with over 100 goals so he certainly knows all about hitting targets.
Now more than ever since falling agonizingly short of qualifying for his second consecutive Olympic Games, Shane is motivated to learn from his mistakes and provide people with the necessary tools, real life strategies and knowledge to perform in their chosen careers.
